Registered NDIS Provider

What is the NDIS

The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) provides support to eligible Australians who have a permanent and significant disability.

The scheme is designed to help those with a disability identify the support they need and give them the power to choose where and how they receive it. The NDIS is administered by the NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency).

There is a wide range of support available for those with low vision or who are blind through the NDIS.

For more information you can visit the official NDIS website.

Who is Eligible?

Assess your eligibility and contact the NDIA with any questions you may have via NDIS Eligibility.

Low Vision and Blindness on NDIS

The NDIS can offer a wide range of assistance to those who have a vision impairment and are eligible to receive support. This assistance is designed to help those with low vision and blindness navigate their everyday lives and develop independence alongside their skills for daily living. The structure of the NDIS allows each client to take control of their funding and access the services that they need to reach their goals. The Queensland Blind Association Inc. can help you or your clients reach these NDIS goals through the supply of adaptive equipment.

Support available through the NDIS extends beyond low vision and talking equipment. It can assist with training and therapy, household tasks, home modifications and more. The NDIS website is the perfect place to start if you want to learn more about NDIS planning and goal setting.
